FINR is a project I’m working on to facilitate the monitoring and dosing of Warfarin to patients in the primary care setting. It is being written in Django and will be Open Sourced, probably under the AGPL licence. At a time of shrinking healthcare budgets, a real saving can be made from adopting open source solutions. I will be make available the code for deployment on an django capable system and additionally a virtual appliance based on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Server. At present the ‘backend’ is working well with development of the UI about 50% complete. I will be putting up a bzr branch on launchpad in the next couple of weeks – check back here for details.
